Privacy Policy
Effective 16 October 2026
Who we are
Famrobe is an iPhone and iPad app made by Lucas Pessoa Almquist in Sweden. If you have questions about this policy, use the support page.
What the app stores, and where
Famrobe keeps what you type in and the photos you add: family members (name, birth year, sizes, photo), clothes and other things (photos, type, colour, size, season, where they're stored, notes, value, purchase date and receipts), who borrowed what, and your shopping list.
This is saved on your device. If you're signed in to iCloud, it is also synced to your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) so it's backed up and available on your other devices. That storage belongs to your Apple Account and is covered by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it.
Sharing with your family
If you choose Share with family, the people you invite can see and edit the same closet on their own devices, signed in with their own Apple Account. The shared closet stays in your iCloud. You can stop sharing at any time in the app's Settings.
Photos and camera
Famrobe only sees the photos you take or pick yourself, and iOS asks for your permission before the camera is used. Removing the background and suggesting the colour and type of a garment is done on your device with Apple's Vision framework. Your photos are never uploaded anywhere for analysis.
Reminders, widget and exports
- Reminders (season swaps, things lent out) are local notifications scheduled on your device.
- The home-screen widget reads a small summary that the app saves on your device.
- The size card, shopping list, sale ad and home insurance PDF are created on your device and only go where you send them with the share sheet.
Children
Famrobe is made for families, so you may add information about your children, such as their names, birth years, sizes and photos. It is handled exactly like everything else: it stays on your devices and in your iCloud, and we don't collect it.
Purchases
Famrobe is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we only receive Apple's sales reports, which don't identify you.
If you contact us
If you write to us through the support page, we receive the name, email address and message you send. We use them only to answer you, and you can ask us to delete them. The message is delivered to us by email through our own contact-form service, which runs on Cloudflare.
Deleting your data
Delete things or family members in the app, or delete the app. To remove the app's data from iCloud as well, open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then iCloud and manage your account storage.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
